| I think Miguel Rodriguez should be this
recipient of the spirit of kiting award. Not just because he is a super guy and I fly his kites...But because he is who he is a kind generous and sharing individual. Miguel’s contributions to kiting are legendary... and need not be recounted here... Miguel is always willing to donate kites to any organization that asks, and often before he is asked! For nearly last decade he has encouraged any and all young persons that showed an interest in kiting ... Encouragement from him can make your day...even for us big kids! He has happily given kites to kids countless times, no small gift! Most recently he stayed up half the night constructing a kite for a young kid he met just the day before...I’ll never forget the smile on that kids face. His support of competitive fliers often goes beyond "kites". He will do anything for anybody from "here fly mine" to just listening to your problems… sort of like mom, dad, big brother, and pal all rolled into one gentle little giant of a man.
